Our Story: A Family’s Journey to Success and Flavor
In 1998, we were just two hardworking individuals with a vision and a dream. I was working at Southwestern Bell and my wife was employed at a pest control company. Despite our solid careers, we both had a desire to create something of our own—a business that could bring joy and fun to people’s lives. That dream became Margarita On The Run.
We started by offering margarita machine rentals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It was a simple concept, but we quickly realized that we were onto something special. Our focus on providing top-tier machines, quality customer service, and a commitment to making every event unforgettable set us apart. Our small business grew quickly and within no time, we became the largest margarita machine rental company in DFW.
In 1999, we took a step that few businesses at the time were willing to take: we became the second company in the nation to have a website dedicated to the frozen drink machine business. This was an industry first and it allowed us to connect with a broader audience and streamline the rental process. But we didn’t stop there. We were also one of the first companies in the U.S. to sell margarita mix and frozen drink machines online, which opened up our services to customers beyond the Dallas/Fort Worth area and set us on the path to national growth.
In 2001, we continued to innovate by launching our own line of frozen drink mixes, crafted from the finest ingredients. This move allowed us to offer a more complete service to our customers, ensuring that every drink served was of the highest quality. It was also the beginning of a new chapter for our business, as we expanded into retail, wholesale and private label markets.
As our business grew, we also became authorized dealers for Frosty Factory, Grindmaster, Carpigiani and Bunn, some of the most respected names in the frozen drink machine industry. This partnership gave us access to the best equipment on the market, ensuring that our customers had everything they needed for a perfect frozen drink experience.
In 2012, we pioneered something new to the Dallas/Fort Worth area: one of the first margarita-to-go / daiquiri-to-go business. This unique service allowed customers to enjoy their favorite frozen drinks wherever they were—whether it was for a party, a celebration, or just a fun treat. It was yet another example of our commitment to innovation and providing value to our customers. The margarita-to-go / daiquiri-to-go business has exploded since then. We have set many of these establishments up across the country to this day.
Our success wouldn’t have been possible without our two sons, who have been involved in the business since they were young. Now 24 and 21, they are deeply integrated into the operations. One serves as our National Sales Manager, helping us grow our reach across the country, while the other is in charge of Operations (Manager), ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. They are passionate about continuing the family legacy and helping the business thrive.
As we look back, we are proud not only of what we’ve built but also of the impact we’ve had on the industry. Some of our competitors today are businesses we helped get started in the early years and we’re proud to have played a role in shaping the frozen drink machine rental and mix business that exists today.
Our products are now served in all 50 states, as well as Canada, Mexico and Taiwan, and we are honored to serve the largest account in the nation that serves our frozen drinks. From our humble beginnings to becoming an industry leader, we’ve remained true to our roots—offering quality, reliability, and exceptional service with a personal touch.
What started as a small, family-run business in the heart of Dallas/Fort Worth has grown into a trusted name in the frozen drink industry.
